That answer would be that if no-one were to "eat with" or "keep company" with those people, then they'd never meet Christ. LOVE this! This is a topic in which I am very careful not to judge anyone! Who am I? There is black and white from God's Word that we should be using to measure right and wrong. But there are also gray areas, where only God knows the entire story. Our job should be to ask God how to encourage or guide a person, not tear them down. Good post! Jesus didn't turn away the sinners as they turned to Him, but look at the Pharisees .. those professing to be of His Father and how He addressed them? Today I read 1 Corinthians 5 -- talks about not judging those on the outside, but there is to be discernment with others who call themselves brethern. vs 12 It is quite the dance isn't it? Ultimately, I think we aren't to judge, but seek the counsel of the Holy Spirit and there will be some who he will call us to "not even eat with."

1 Corin 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

What do you think?

Rachel

I really enjoyed your blog post, i always got good...

I really enjoyed your blog post, i always got good, relevant and useful information from your new and unique posts, i m sure your blog will keep us continues update.
